In Thorndale, our pellet mill is prepared to produce a wide range of pelleted, crumble, and mash blends. As a full-service crop seed dealership, we proudly offer Pride and Maizex seeds, along with a diverse selection of forage seed varieties to support your farming success
Our experienced team of professional truck drivers is ready to deliver your feed directly to your farm. Whether you need bulk auger and blower trucks or van delivery for bulk feed, totes, or bags, we ensure your products arrive safely and promptly.
All our retail locations feature the complete line of Shur-Gain products, one of the most well-researched and trusted feed brands in the world. Combined with our locally produced Country Mills feed, you have a vast array of options to nourish your livestock with confidence.
After having managed it for several years, Wilf Saarloos had the opportunity to purchase the grist and molasses mill and retail store in Aylmer, beginning Elgin Feeds Ltd.
As the business continued to grow, an opportunity arose to purchase Thorndale Farm Supplies, which included a retail store and pellet mill, giving our customers greater flexibility in product consistency.
Over the following years, we continued to invest in improving capabilities at both of our mills as well as expanding our fleet to include modern tanker and auger trucks. We also grew our trading areas to include the Belmont and Fingal areas.
We grew again, acquiring retail stores in Norwich and in Burford, bringing our total retail locations up to four.
Oxford Feed Supply in Ingersoll joined our group of companies.
All retail and mill businesses consolidated under a new name, Country Mills, strengthening the commitment to consistent and reliable service across all locations.
